WHO WE ARE
Later Skaters Gang are a bunch of adults from around the world that have either started skateboarding in their adulthood, have picked it back up after a long long break, or are never stopped skating and are still shredding. We started as a local Toronto group of people Spring of 2019. You can find us all on instagram via the #laterskatersgang hashtag. What started as a small group has now turned into hundreds of people around the globe. So rad.
In May of 2019, the instagram account for Later Skaters Gang came to life. It was really just a place to start posting clips of a few us of skateboarding and sharing clips of some online friends that we made, the rest is history! This post here is the first post ever marking the beginning of this super fun adventure.
MEETUPS
We knew that there more grown ups like us out there, hiding in plain sight... So we decided to hold our first meet up at Ashbridges Bay back in 2019. We had no idea if anyone would show up or no plan really, just wanted to see if anyone would show up. Day of, we were completely overwhelmed with how many people came. It was an amazing day filled with skateboarding, meeting new friends and fun. We started holding weekly meetups at various skateparks in the GTA and with each meetup, we grew and made new friends. Meetups still happen but for now they're now once a month.
